Angela Irene Kelly, 58, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on April 28, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Angela was born and raised on Long Island to devoted parents Ann and James Linardos. She attended Plainedge High School and Nassau Community College before working in the fashion industry in New York City. She married Gordon Kelly, had two sons, Christopher and Michael, and helped raise Geoffrey, Gordon’s son from a previous marriage.
Angela devoted her time and boundless energy to her family and friends, touching lives wherever she went. She was an artist, a teacher, a chef and a fabulous baker. She had a green thumb and dedicated herself to healthy living. She loved nature (especially the beach), the color aqua and her music (everything from folk rock to disco). She was compassionate, tenacious, hilarious and relentlessly positive, even after losing her husband to cancer and fighting several battles of her own.
She is survived by her mother, Ann; sisters Margaret (and her husband, Patrick), Christina and Irene; her sister-in-law Dorlise; her sons Christopher (and his wife Emma), Geoffrey (and his wife Indiana) and Michael; her nephews Kelly, Robert, Matthew and Patrick; her nieces Victoria, Zoë and Hillary; her grandsons Alexander and Matthew; her aunts, uncles and cousins; and so many friends.
A memorial to celebrate Angela’s life is forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Gift of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation at forthegiftofhope.org.
