Ms. Doris Euphema "P" Francis Obituary (1941

Doris E. Francis, age 75, a native of St. Catherine Jamaica and resident of Boynton Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2017. Ms. Francis was also affectionately referred to as, "Fema or Ms. P." Doris Euphema Francis (Fema "P"), age 75, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly a long-time resident of Kingston, Jamaica was born on June 27th, 1941. She was allowed 75 years with us and has lived her life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her son, Noel Bailey; her sisters, Marlene "Jane" Spencer & Yvonne Burke; and her niece, Rosemarie Makenzie. In her early years, Doris worked as a security officer in Jamaica. She continued that career path when she made her journey to the USA working for TSA at PBIA. After 9/11, Doris decided that it was time to make a change in occupations, and Walmart became her second home. Doris has been a part of the Wal-Mart family for the last 13 years. Fema was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family and was always excited to show her family off to her friends and co-workers. She cherished times when the family got together for holidays or for no reason at all; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours in the kitchen preparing and cooking for her family and guests. And she always made sure you had enough... Fema has also been a very dedicated and faithful member of The Healing Hand Ministries, where not only received and studied God's Word, but where she belonged to the Women Of Purpose. Doris Francis departed this life to be at the side of our Lord on March 18, 2017 at JFK Memorial Hospital in Atlantis, FL. She will always be known for her kindness, her laugh, her limitless love, her sense of humor, her thick Jamaican drawl... She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Doris was survived by her Children - Morine (Joseph) Sosi, Ian Gooden; Grandchildren - Andrew King, Tassia Palmer, Robert Palmer; Great granddaughters - Kyara King, Ariana King, Janae Whitaker, and beloved granddog Samson; Sisters- Susanna (Esmond) Thompson, Viola Turner, Lesma Hayles, Melvalyn Whittaker; Nieces - Charlene Dixon, Tishura Braithwaite, Una Richards-Morgan, Valrie Stewart, Nadene Bryan, Yasmin Thompson, Sherene Thompson; Nephew - Dane Malcom, Bernard Richards, Lynden Thompson, Garfield Thompson, and a host of grand and great grand nieces and nephews. She served the Lord wholeheartedly and also enjoyed cooking and helping others. A visitation service will be held on: Refreshments will be served in the multi-purpose room. A funeral service for Mother Doris will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Community Deliverance Church, 202 NW 9th Ave, Boynton Beach, FL 33435 Following the service she will be laid to rest at the Boynton Beach Cemetery & Mausoleum, 611 S.
